La Romana.- Grupo Piñero’s Playa Nueva Romana residential and tourist complex has officially inaugurated the Dominican Republic’s first fully floodlit golf course, setting a new benchmark for luxury tourism and sports innovation in the country. The launch event gathered Grupo Piñero executives, local authorities, investors, and figures from the tourism and sports industries, all witnessing a major advancement in nighttime golf offerings.
This new 9-hole, par-3 course, certified by the PGA of America, features state-of-the-art lighting technology, allowing extended play under the stars and enhancing Playa Nueva Romana’s appeal as an exclusive destination. General Manager Jesús Durán highlighted the initiative as a realization of the community’s vision for innovation, quality living, and sustainable development.
Part of Grupo Piñero’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the project aims to attract more national and international visitors year-round, further strengthening Playa Nueva Romana’s position in the Caribbean’s luxury real estate and golf sectors.
