Santo Domingo.- As of March 4, Dominican Republic citizens no longer need a visa to visit Jamaica for up to 180 days for tourism or business. Jamaican Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett announced the policy change, calling it a milestone in Caribbean tourism cooperation.
Bartlett emphasized that removing visa restrictions strengthens regional ties and expands opportunities for multi-destination tourism across the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Jamaica has signed agreements with the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, and Panama to advance this initiative and is in talks with Colombia.
The minister highlighted that visa facilitation is key to seamless travel across borders, supporting Jamaica’s long-term strategy to boost multi-destination tourism in the region.
