La Altagracia.- Minister of Tourism David Collado inaugurated the reconstruction of Pastor Domingo de la Cruz Street, connecting it with Domingo MaÃz Avenue in Verón, Punta Cana, with an investment exceeding RD$64 million. The project, aimed at improving infrastructure in the area, serves as an alternative route to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce travel time between the community of Verón and the Coral Highway. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Ministry of Tourism to enhance living conditions in tourist regions across the Dominican Republic.
The project involved the reconstruction of a 1.8-kilometer stretch, creating a two-lane road with a 7-meter width, along with the construction of 5,400 square meters of sidewalks and 3,600 linear meters of curbs. The work also includes a drainage system with filters for effective stormwater management, ensuring long-term durability. Additionally, the road features new horizontal and vertical signage for improved safety and navigation.
