Madrid.- The International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025 provided the perfect stage for Cap Cana, a premier destination in the Dominican Republic, to highlight its extraordinary growth and accomplishments. Jorge Subero Medina, Executive President of Cap Cana, outlined the development’s milestones and its bright future as a “consolidated, strengthened city with unstoppable growth.”

Cap Cana is a unique Caribbean city destination, blending tourism, real estate, sustainability, and community living. Spanning decades of strategic planning and development, the project now boasts over 8,000 rooms, including 2,600 hotel rooms and expansive residential spaces. By the end of 2025, the city will deliver an additional 1,300 rooms, meeting its ambitious goals thanks to $3.85 billion in investments and unwavering confidence in the Dominican Republic’s economic acity destination and legal stability.

The city offers a fully integrated lifestyle for residents and visitors. It has 27 residential complexes that incorporate 20–30% green spaces, three major banks, schools with international diversity, supermarkets, churches, and two theme parks. This all-in-one urban concept ensures that residents can live, work, and thrive without needing to leave the area.

State-of-the-art infrastructure
A cornerstone of Cap Cana’s success is its commitment to modern infrastructure. Over the past year, more than 15 kilometers of roads have been paved with cables buried underground for a cleaner aesthetic. The city also installed fiber optics, water systems, and advanced wastewater management.

The emphasis on sustainability is evident in its energy initiatives. Cap Cana doubled its power capacity in 2024 with high-efficiency generators and added solar power infrastructure to produce 5 megawatts of renewable energy.

To improve mobility, traffic within the city is carefully monitored, and alternative routes for heavy vehicles ensure smooth circulation. Last year alone, over 5.3 million vehicles passed through Cap Cana’s roads, reflecting its growing popularity among residents and tourists.

Cap Cana continues to push boundaries in tourism and entertainment. The upcoming St. Regis hotel, set to open in 2025, will redefine luxury in the Dominican Republic with 372 premium rooms and a level of exclusivity unmatched in the region. Scape Park and El Dorado Park, its two renowned theme parks, have introduced new attractions, earning accolades such as recognition from the World Water Association.

The city is also a hub for sports tourism. Signature events such as Ironman 70.3, international golf and fishing tournaments, and tennis and paddle tournaments draw thousands of participants annually. These activities not only enrich the visitor experience but also contribute significantly to the Dominican Republic’s economy.

A visionary leader
Jorge Subero Medina expressed immense pride in the progress made under his leadership. Highlighting Cap Cana’s educational offerings, he noted the presence of a school with 26 nationalities represented among its students. The city also prioritizes environmental conservation through programs that protect flora, fauna, and marine life, reinforcing its reputation as a sustainable and forward-thinking destination.

As Cap Cana continues to grow, its influence reaches beyond the borders of the Dominican Republic. It exemplifies how visionary urban planning can transform a destination into a global model for luxury, sustainability, and community living.

From its bustling marina to its world-class golf courses, Cap Cana is more than a destination—it’s a lifestyle. FITUR 2025 showcased this remarkable project as a shining example of innovation in tourism and urban development, solidifying its place as a leader in the Caribbean and beyond.
